Methodology
About This Report
The WholesaleDoorHub U.S. Wholesale Interior Door Price Index is compiled quarterly from three primary data sources: (1) WholesaleDoorHub's own transaction data across 36 U.S. markets, (2) supplier benchmark pricing from domestic and import manufacturers, and (3) publicly available data from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), IBISWorld, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the Door and Access Systems Manufacturers Association (DASMA).
All prices in this index represent factory-direct wholesale pricing to licensed contractors, builders, and qualified retailers — not retail or consumer pricing. Retail MSRP for the same products is typically 35–55% higher. Prices reflect standard sizes and configurations; custom sizing, special finishes, and non-standard hardware are not included in the baseline index.
Regional premiums are calculated relative to the Southeast baseline market (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina), which represents the highest-volume, most competitive wholesale market in the U.S. Premiums reflect average freight, warehousing, and local market conditions — individual project pricing may vary.
